Making the decision to build a home can be overwhelming and daunting. There are so many decision that need to be made before the first load of dirt is even delivered. Examining and re-examine your timing, the economy, your own personal goals. All of the above and more we experienced once we made the decision to build.
However, the one area we never questioned or had any doubts, was who our builder would be. Nancy & Ron Lee, of RLH, were unquestionably our first and ONLY choice of a builder. To be fair, we’ve had a personal relationship with Nancy & Ron for almost 30 years. But it was their reputation of putting out a quality product for a fair and market value price, and their integrity and honesty that was the most important factor. RLH met and exceeded all of these expectations!
The second most important factor was communication. Just like any other adventure, communication is key to both the builder and the client’s happiness. Nancy & Ron provided personal as well as business numbers so that we could be in contact over everything single aspect of the building process.

The Ron Lee team is the best! Building a new home can be one of the more stressful experiences a couple can encounter…and building long distance, often a nightmare. However, quite the opposite when building our home in Maison du Lac – Ron and Nancy Lee both have such a discerning eye and years of experience with details that made building our new home an exciting and pleasant adventure. We knew by the quality of work we had heard about and witnessed before signing on that things would be done right. This can be such a major concern, but their reputation took the stress out of being 700 miles away through the whole building process. Their whole team is organized and responsive to any concerns if encountered, and I can’t say enough about how easy they made the whole custom project – from picking out even the smallest details as well as the largest. After meeting with several builders, we chose RLH as our forever home builder. We were to be married (at ages 67 and 71) in April, and our home in Maison du Lac would be completed in March. We had found the perfect lot, and now we had our perfect home.
Ron and Nancy took all our ideas and incorporated them into a beautiful custom-designed home the way we had envisioned it. It was NOT a chaotic time building our home because they guided us all the way by giving us choices and recommendations that we could use. We never felt overwhelmed during the entire time that it was being built. When we called or texted their office, they got back to us promptly. Everyone in their office was a delight to work with.
We loved that they gave us choices of paints, windows, faucets, etc., rather than telling us to decide from a large array. This made life so much easier!

For Karen and me, selecting a builder was one of the easiest decisions we have ever made. Decades ago we, too, were builders and built alongside RLH. From those days we knew that Ron was one of the finest and most talented builders in St. Tammany Parish.
